Mow Wow Animals is an online learning program for K–5 in Humane Education that encourages children to become caring citizens and Ambassadors of Compassion in their own communities, activating their imagination with a focus on teaching respect and responsibility for animals.

Mow Wow Animals is designed for the busy teacher; it is complete with ready-made lessons, short videos, engaging hands-on activities, and a Telly Award-winning movie. The lessons can be used to teach writing, reading, and social science, as well as proper animal care. The program teaches children empathy and the value of all living beings. The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
