Latham Features PAHS!

We are so proud and pleased to share with you that PAHS was a 2019 recipient of one of The Latham Foundation's grants in humane education. The grant money helped support PAHS programs including Critter Club (grades 2–5), Adoptables Art (elementary school–adults), the Ambassadors of Compassion Story Writing Contest (middle-school), Kiddies 2 Kitties (cat and kitten shelter-based reading and cat and kitten socialization program in partnership with Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority), Creating a Humane World (internships for high-school students), and the recent Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose and PAHS' “Animals Inspire Us” program.

Learn more about The Latham Foundation at https://www.latham.org/. Please consider donating to our programs. If you have questions about how you can get involved or want to offer suggestions for future programs, please email us at pahs@paloaltohumane.org.

The Fall 2019 Latham Letter (https://www.latham.org/wp-conte…/…/wpt/2019/10/LL_19_FA.pdf…), page 12, featured PAHS’ Ambassadors of Compassion Story Writing Contest and shared Vandana Ravi’s winning story “Snapshot,” which inspired an enlightening educational book about donkeys with the same title that can be purchased through PAHS.
