For over a century, the Palo Alto Humane Society (PAHS) has alleviated the suffering of animals, increased public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevated the status of animals in our society. One of the few humane societies nationwide without a shelter, we work to keep animals out of shelters through humane intervention, advocacy, and education.
PAHS provides financial assistance for urgent and often costly veterinary treatments for pets. During 2019 PAHS assisted with care for 166 animals and paid for spaying and neutering 88 dogs and cats.
This request shines a light on Daisy’s Fund, established in memory of a rescued much-loved dog named Daisy. Daisy’s life was saved through extensive veterinary care and the Daisy Fund continually ensures animals receive treatment they urgently require even when their human companions don’t have the necessary financial resources to pay.
