California Senate Bill 1115, Animal Blood Bank Bill, in Danger!

SB 1115, passed unanimously in the State Senate in June, has been REMOVED FROM the calendar for consideration by the State Assembly.

Why is this bill so important? Since COVID-19 began, many veterinarians have either closed down or shifted their clients to emergency clinics. With fewer veterinary practices operating, this has reduced the supply of clinical production of blood and created a greater need for blood products.
Those needs can be met by passing SB 1115, which will allow community-based commercial blood banks to operate in California.

Please reach out NOW to the two leaders of the state legislature and URGE THEM to put SB 1115 back on the calendar and get this bill to the Governor's desk.
