PAHS Visits South San Francisco Preschools Again

PAHS visited a second set of preschoolers at the South San Francisco Unified School District Tuesday, January 29, to introduce these students to our book "Saving Travis: A Rescue Story." There to present her book was Rhea Sampson, accompanied by the book's two heroes, Golden Retriever Shannon (a therapy dog) and Rat Terrier mix Travis (the dog Shannon rescued.

Accompanying PAHS were teachers and staff from the District and representatives from Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the group sponsoring our visits. The Foundation's Prospect Management Associate read the book aloud with great expression, and the Foundation's Family Engagement Manager also participated in the presentation.

Preschoolers also watched Rhea as she showed them how she takes care of Shannon and sang along with Rhea and her guitar about taking good care of our pets and being kind to all animals. Everyone ended the visit with a wonderful meet and greet (petting) session with two very happy dogs.
