PAHS at Friends Nursery School, Palo Alto

To finish the month of April, PAHS people and canine volunteers visited Friends Nursery School the last day of the month. We entertained a preschool group with "Saving Travis: A Rescue Story" written by Rhea Sampson and published by PAHS.

In attendance were Rhea's wonderful heroes of the story, Shannon the Golden Retriever and Travis the Terrier mix. PAHS' education manager Leonor Delgado helped read the story, and then we all sang along to accompany Rhea on her guitar. Everyone enjoyed the petting session, especially Shannon and Travis!

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education.
