CCI Visits Critter Club

Thursday, January 31: Beyond the Bell 2nd through 5th grade students at Theuerkauf Elementary in Mountain View learned all about service dogs from Rich Hagan and his dog Toggle representing Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). Introduced by PAHS' Arlene Esquivias, Rich described the role of service dogs, the kind of training these dogs receive through CCI, the different kinds of jobs they perform, and the best way to interact with a service dog. Toggle was very happy to show everyone what he could do, and the students were equally happy to have a meet and greet with Toggle. Many thanks to CCI and to Rich and Toggle and to Arlene for taking over the Critter Club session.
