Senior cats and dogs at Contra Costa Animal Services need homes, and they’re available to seniors (people) for a $5 adoption fee. Cats and dogs are wonderful companions for active and/or stay-at-home seniors, and they brighten everyone’s life, providing love, companionship, and healthful benefits. Please help these animals find good homes!


If you’re over 55 years of age you can adopt any animal in our shelter over 5 years old for just $5! Senior pets are the best and usually come pre- trained. To see all available animals please check out our website: www.ccasd.org

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
