Mountain View Volunteer Fair, Saturday, April 7—At the PAHS Table: Volunteers Beatka Szkopf (Firewalker Beatka) and Reine Flexer joined PAHS education manager Leonor Delgado to scout for more volunteers to help in feeding local community cat colonies as well as join our growing corps of education volunteers. We also advertised our Kiddies 2 Kitties shelter-based reading and cat/kitten socialization program at Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority. We met many interesting and enthusiastic attendees at the fair! Special thanks to Pam Decharo, who designed our beautiful community cat poster.

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
