Meet “Lucky” Lindy!

With the help of Althea Kippes, a volunteer from the Northern CA branch of Southern California Dachshund Relief (http://scdr.org/), PAHS stepped up this past Friday (Nov. 3) to spring Lindy from Peninsula Humane Society, where she was on the euthanasia list. Lindy is now safe and has been vetted. We hope she has many months ahead of her—she will be treated for kidney failure and will have a safe and kind home with Althea. Thank you, Althea and Southern California Dachshund Relief, for helping little Lindy. Here’s her freedom photo:

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
