PAHS Visits the AIMS Program at
Hillview Middle School of Menlo Park

Wednesday, November 20, was a special day for students in the Achieving Independent Minds (AIMS) program at Hillview. PAHS people Patty Hurley (education advisor and consultant and advocate for special needs students), Leonor Delgado (education manager), and Julie Forbes (psychologist and Greyhound rescuer) and her special boy Kermit were invited to visit.

Students learned how to meet and greet a new, friendly dog, and had a wonderful time practicing with Kermit—a gentle rescued Greyhound—and asking questions about him. One student filmed Kermit for his YouTube page. Kermit was a favorite for students and staff alike, especially for Keenan Quijano, shown below. Take a peek too at Kermit lounging on the floor while Julie tells the students and staff all about him.

Thank you, Angharad Musladin, AIMS director, for the special invitation.
