On Friday, December 8, students at the Imagination School in Palo Alto (http://www.imagination-school.org/) were visited by PAHS education volunteer Jaye and education manager Leonor, along with a very special guest—Marlowe, a laid-back marmalade rescued cat who loves meeting new people. As well as interacting with Marlowe, the students learned about: the challenges of strays in the community; local rescuers’ efforts in TNR (trap-neuter-return), fostering, and promoting adoption; cat body language; and good care of feline companions. Thank you, Jaye and Marlowe!

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
