The Palo Alto Humane Society is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For over a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
Daisy’s Day is PAHS’ most impactful fundraiser for animals whose owners cannot afford their pets’ urgent veterinary care. We welcome your support at any of our suggested levels to make Daisy’s Day an important source of funding for our Pet Help program. Pet Help ensures hundreds of animals every year receive urgently needed treatments and care. This program is virtually unique on the Peninsula, including San Jose, and we partner with many veterinary clinics to save lives in our communities and to keep beloved pets with their families.

Detail about Palo Alto Humane Society’s programs:
Pet Help
provides financial assistance for people facing unmanageable veterinary expenses. We collaborate with local veterinary clinics to facilitate critically needed medical treatments and directly pay these clinics for their services.
Spay and Neuter Fund
We provide funding to underwrite surgeries for homeless animals and those from lower-income households. One spay or neuter surgery prevents the need to euthanize many animals each year.
Animal Rescue Fund
PAHS works with local volunteers across our community who rescue homeless animals, care for them as needed, or transport those who are sick or injured to veterinary offices. PAHS covers the cost of veterinary rehabilitation as possible
Education Programs
Palo Alto Humane Society has created a rich and diverse collection of educational programs for schools and the community promoting kindness, compassion, and imparting a sense of responsibility for the wellbeing of animals.
We realize there are many fine organizations in our community to support, but we hope you will consider adding PAHS to your list.
All sponsorships listed above can be customized.
