“PEPE” with PAHS at Stanford

Aileen Thomas of the Office of Sponsored Research at Stanford University organized a Personal Enrichment Professional Excellence session, or “PEPE,” for employees. This PEPE was devoted to issues in animal care and animal adoption. Representing PAHS were educational volunteer Chris Witzel and her dog Jesse, a therapy dog who accompanies Chris on visits to disabled seniors in facilities and at home, and Leonor Delgado, the PAHS Education Manager. Employees engaged in a Q&A session with Chris and Leonor about dog and cat care and adoption. Aileen, who is also very knowledgeable about cats, participated as well in providing answers to the employees’ questions. In the meantime, Jesse made sure to meet and greet all the attendees and then enjoyed playing quietly with a tennis ball.

PAHS thanks Aileen and the employees for a most enjoyable session, and we hope to return to future “PEPEs.” Thanks too for the generous donation from Sponsored Research.
