Students enrolled in Critter Club at Monta Loma Elementary in Mountain View through a partnership with Beyond the Bell were eager to show their appreciation for the Critter Club session about cats at the shelter offered by SVACA (Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority). They decided to bake healthy dog treats for the shelter dogs at SVACA.
On Friday, April 14, Melissa Navarro, representing the Beyond the Bell students, visited SVACA to present the dog treats to SVACA’s Outreach Coordinator Janet Alexander. Melissa also met with the PAHS Education Manager, Leonor Delgado. Janet reported later that the pups at SVACA very much enjoyed the gift of homemade treats.
