We Have a New “Telling Tail Tales” Story!

Written by Upasana Halder, a freshman at Gunn High School in Palo Alto, “Love Again for Animals” describes how the protagonist overcomes her fear of animals after having a bad experience with a threatening dog.

We’d love to receive more stories about middle-school and high-school students’ experiences with their pets or their volunteer/fostering experiences to help animals, or their feelings about animal welfare. Send your stories to: leonor.delgado@paloaltohumane.org.

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
