MILLIE’S TALE—Episode 2
Millie has been living with her rescue mom, recovering comfortably and adjusting to people and being indoors. She is by nature a nocturnal kitty preferring to sleep during the day and be active at night.
From her rescue mom:
Millie is healing nicely and just started walking on her 3 legs. She was prescribed painkillers (3x a day) and antibiotics (2x a day). I have to sneak the medications into her food so I need to space out her meals. I feed her at 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily and smaller amounts in between. I'm lucky she’s a good eater; her favorite dish is chicken paté.
Millie is still very shy, but we are making progress every day. I sit next to her and we have chats, but she still doesn’t like when I reach in the cage to feed her or clean her litter box. My goal is to get her used to me and then to be social with other people so that one day, when she’s better, a kind person will want to adopt her and give her a good home.
