Youth Community Service Action Team (Palo Alto Middle Schools) Helps Palo Alto Humane Society and Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority

The YCS Action Team visited Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA) Wednesday, April 10, for a special session of our PAHS-partnered Kiddies 2 Kitties program. No cats were onsite (all the cats were already adopted), but two super-friendly rabbits, Blue and Bugsy, were thrilled to stand in for the cats to provide a great socialization experience for the visitors!

The Action Team also made cat toys for SVACA and for PAHS—SVACA's adoptable cats and cats in local rescue groups that PAHS helps will soon have a wide variety of wand toys! Thank you to the Action Team!

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
