YCS Visits SVACA for a PAHS–SVACA Special Kiddies 2 Kitties Session

Wednesday, June 19, was a special day for Palo Alto Youth Community Service (YCS) middle-schoolers in a special summer program. These students gathered with SVACA's (Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority's) Community Outreach Manager Janet Alexander and summer interns Chelsea and Dalena and PAHS' Education Manager Leonor Delgado and summer research assistant Aileen Gardiner to learn about the shelter and get tips on socializing kittens.

Highlights of the visit included time spent with attention-loving kittens such as Pan, a three-month old all-black little boy, three pre-wean kittens as they were bottle-fed, and a very playful adoptable puppy named Jenny.

Thanks to Janet and her people and Aileen, and of course, YCS, for a wonderful session!
