Today's rabbit-related post is about housing. The best choice is an "Ex pen" or exercise pen. Pens are available in a choice of heights, are easily maneuvered, fold flat, and offer your rabbit(s) plenty of space, unlike a rigid cage. Metal cages are not appropriate for rabbits. Bunny feet need a smooth surface to rest on, otherwise rabbits can develop a painful condition known as "sore hocks". Add a litterbox, a cardboard box or willow "tent" to take naps in, and some safe toys. Make sure your rabbit has plenty of water; I use heavy ceramic dishes that won't tip over. Rabbits should be kept indoors for their safety! Protect your rabbit from predators, climate change, insects, etc. Never leave your rabbit outdoors without supervision.
