This Is Peter! He Came to the Right Place.
Friday, October 4, 2019. An Ordinary Day at PAHS.

PAHS Education and PAHS Therapy Paws volunteer Tzachi Flat (Zack) and his puppy Lily came upon Peter roaming about unleashed not too far from our office. Figuring that this was a safe place—and Peter agreed!—Zack and Lily brought Peter to our office.

Then, Animal Control Office Jeannette Washington from Palo Alto Animal Control came to Peter's rescue. Peter was relieved to see her. Within moments, Peter's people contacted Jeannette. We wish we could have witnessed the happy reunion. Thanks, Zack, Lily, and Jeannette, for all your help. We're sure Peter thanks you too!

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
