Special Kiddies 2 Kitties Session May 1

Students participating in our co-sponsored cat and kitten reading and socialization program at Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority had they opportunity to meet Misha, a super-friendly and gentle adult cat up for adoption. Misha loves everyone and is happy to meet and greet!

The students also witnessed a special bottle-feeding session for three two-week old kitten siblings who spend the day at the shelter and go home with outreach coordinator Janet Alexander every night. It was amazing to watch these babies grab onto the bottle and drink!

We thank Chelsea Gilbert, the new summer intern who will be helping us with our program, for the wonderful photos.

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
