Service Day at The Girls' Middle School

Students at The Girls' Middle School led by art and media teacher Renee Fadiman welcomed visitors from PAHS at their special Service Day on Friday, September 27. PAHS people Patty Hurley, Leonor Delgado, and Julie Forbes, Ph.D., along with Julie's canine companion Kermit (a rescued Greyhound), were on site to introduce the students to Greyhound rescue, the responsibilities of dog care, and the best way to meet and greet a new dog.

Kermit simply based in his element—just as eager to meet the students as they were to meet him! He loved the blanket made by the students as part of their service project. Other blankets will be equally enjoyed by rescued kittens awaiting adoption.
