PAHS Visits Champions in Redwood City/Redwood Shores

Our July 10 sessions at Champions Summer Camp in Sandpiper Elementary in Redwood Shores (https://www.discoverchampions.com/our…/redwood-city/…/000680) featured Rhea Sampson and her two dogs Shannon and Travis.

Rhea read "Saving Travis: A Rescue Story" published by PAHS and led a singalong session featuring songs about dog care and kindness to animals. Also on the program was Patty Hurley, the PAHS education advisor, with rescue tales—interesting stories about animals rescuing people.

Champions at Sandpiper is a great friend of animals. The room we visited was home to two geckos and two rats, loved by all. Thank you to Champions and Sandpiper for hosting us!

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter.
