PAHS Therapy Paws Visits Avenidas Rose Kleiner Center in Mountain View!

Attendees at the center on Thursday, May 30, had the opportunity to meet and greet our PAHS Therapy Paws canine teams! Our dog volunteers were up to the task of cuddling with the participating seniors and showing how much they appreciated all the extra attention. Special thanks to the staff at Avenidas for coordinating the visit.

In attendance were: PAHS Therapy Paws Manager Arlene Esquivias with our office therapy dog Minnie (white poodle); Kathy McGinnis with rescued greyhound Rory; Beth Sovak-Philbin with pug Max; Andrea Kuroda Marra with lab mix Rudy; Sarah Clementson with Ani, her golden retriever rescued from Taiwan; and Nancy Moss with her rescued labradoodle Maisie. Thanks for accompanying us! And… along for the ride were PAHS Executive Director Carole Hyde and Education Manager Leonor Delgado.

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
