PAHS Recruits Volunteers!

PAHS volunteers Pam Decharo, Andrea Kuroda Marra, and Judi Brown joined Leonor Delgado, education manager, at the City of Mountain View Volunteer Fair at the new Community Center Saturday, April 6. Visitors to our table learned about opportunities to help community cats, work in our education and outreach programs, join the team for PAHS Therapy Paws (our new de-stress program), and participate in Kiddies 2 Kitties (our shelter-based reading and cat socialization program in partnership with Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority).

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
