PAHS Partnering with Palomacy Pigeon & Dove Adoptions!

Our July 9 joint session at Champions Summer Camp at John Muir Elementary in San Bruno (https://www.discoverchampions.com/our-locations/…/ca/001431…) was a smashing success as students from grades K through 5 learned about pigeons as pets and the work of Palomacy in rescuing different kinds of domestic and city pigeons and finding good adoptive homes for these birds.

Campers were excited to meet Pip, a tame city pigeon, Kensey, a racing pigeon survivor, and Dooby, a King Pigeon who survived the squab industry. Myths about pigeons were dispelled and students experienced firsthand what wonderful animal companions these birds are.
