Most of us probably grew up with the "Easter Bunny" legend. Real domestic rabbits are affected by Easter and not in a positive way. If you are noticing rabbits and wondering about them, I'd like to introduce to the lovely experience of having house rabbits! I'll be posting twice a week. Tonight, I will begin by advising you to educate yourself about the reality of having a pet rabbit. You can easily find information about all sorts of topics by reaching out to a reputable rabbit rescue group.
Did you know rabbits can live up to 10 years and more? Of course, keep them indoors for their health and safety, plus they won't be isolated away from you. And, they need more than carrots: grass hay should be the main part of their diet, along with a timothy or alfalfa (for young bunnies) based pellet, and green leafy vegetables such as carrot tops or dandelions.
