Kittens at Critter Clubs!

Thursday, December 10—Two kitten brothers, Ember (orange tabby and white) and Cypress (black and white) accompanied Janet Alexander from Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (local shelter serving Mountain View) to Critter Club sessions at Beyond the Bell in Mariano Castro Elementary School, Mountain View. Such playful little boys! And so happy to meet everyone!

Students learned about the role of the animal shelter in the community and what the shelter and Palo Alto Humane Society, along with independent rescuers, do to help homeless cats and kittens, make them adoptable, and find them good homes.

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
