Kiley's Debut at Critter Club
Kiley's debut on Thursday, March 28, coincided with the final sessions of Critter Club at the Beyond the Bell after-school enrichment program at Edith Landels Elementary School. Kiley, a rescued super-friendly and gentle Golden Retriever, was born at a puppy mill and at a very young age found a wonderful home with Becky Carpenter.
Becky, along with Patty Hurley (PAHS education advisor), and Leonor Delgado (PAHS education manager), opened a discussion about puppy mills and their irresponsible treatment of parent dogs and puppies. Other discussions also involved rescue—Patty's true-life stories of seemingly unlikely animals rescuing people were a highlight of the sessions.
Thank you, Becky and Kiley, for your participation!
