Animal Advocacy at Palo Alto's International School—Wednesday, February 13

When the fourth grade students at the International School of the Peninsula wrote to the Office of State Senator Jerry Hill with their concerns for local cows being confined and the effect on their health, Lisa Chung, the Senator's District Representative, responded to their concerns. The school then invited Lisa to combined assembly of fourth graders and members of the middle school's Animal Advocacy Club (this club has been supporting PAHS through fundraising efforts and is currently engaged in research projects around animal protection during natural disasters).

Lisa answered questions from informed students and helped them learn about the many tasks and concerns of elected state-level legislators. She very graciously acknowledged PAHS' efforts in local communities and the partnership we share with Senator Hill.
