All About Cats at Critter Club!
For their March 21 Critter Club sessions, Beyond the Bell students at Edith Landels Elementary School in Mountain View were treated to a special visit from education volunteer Jaye and Marlowe, Jaye's seasoned feline classroom visitor. Marlowe, now 14 years old, was rescued as a kitten from a garbage dumpster. He grew up to be a splendid large and gentle orange tabby.
Marlowe gave an excellent demonstration of how cats show people how affectionate they can be. In addition, students learned how PAHS helps homeless cats through practicing trap-neuter-return (TNR), with particular emphasis on the importance of the N aspect as an integral part of caring for our pets.
