YCS at Kiddies 2 Kitties, Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA)

Amber (top), Spiffy (bottom left), and Scarlet (bottom right) had the undivided attention of the Palo Alto Youth Community Service Middle School Action Team the afternoon of Wednesday, May 9. The students, who had visited in the past, were at SVACA for a special session of Kiddies 2 Kitties, the PAHS–SVACA reading and socialization program for students of all ages. All three kitties are still looking for a good home! Thanks to Janet Alexander for welcoming YCS to the program!

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
