Students Helping PAHS Donate for Displaced and Injured Animals in the Camp Fire and Local Rescued Cats

As part of their service project in animal advocacy, the fourth-grade classes at Pinewood School in Los Altos made fleece blankets for shelter and rescue dogs and cats. Youth Community Service (YCS) middle-school students from Palo Alto who participated in a joint PAHS-SVACA (Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority) session about cats donated cat toys to us. These items (a few are shown at the bottom of the photo) were donated by PAHS to a shipment to Butte Humane Society in Chico of much-needed food, blankets, toys, and carriers to help animals affected by the Camp Fire. A few of the toys and blanks were also given to Community Cat Rescue, a local rescue group based in Palo Alto.
