PAHS was very happy to meet more students from the YCS Middle School Action Team…

PAHS was very happy to meet more students from the YCS Middle School Action Team (Palo Alto) at yesterday’s (March 14) SVACA shelter tour and SVACA–PAHS discussion of animal issues in the community. And Princess (a little Min Pin dog) and Amber (a blue Maine Coon mix cat) felt the same way too!



We enjoyed a visit from Youth Community Service of Palo Alto for a special session of Kiddies 2 Kitties with Palo Alto Humane Society. The girls learned about the different ways SVACA helps animals. The highlight of the visit was when they got to spend some time with Amber (the Cat) and Princess (the Pup)!

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
