PAHS at Pinewood School Middle Campus, Los Altos—Friday, November 2
PAHS education manager Leonor Delgado addressed the Pinewood Middle Campus weekly assembly about our 110th anniversary year and our long-term focus on helping animals in the larger community through intervention, education, and advocacy.
Our smaller target audience was the fourth grade, where students participated in a discussion about homeless animals and how we can help them and the ways in which animals, especially service and therapy dogs, help us. Then Cody (a service/therapy Toy Australian Shepherd) and Ani (a comfort/therapy Golden Retriever)—the best of pals—joined us with their people Kathy Merkle-Raymond and Sarah Clementson so that the students could interact with two great dogs on the job!
PAHS thanks Pinewood School Middle Campus for all the fourth graders are doing to help us—from participating in educational sessions to sponsoring a food drive for homeless animals and setting up a PAHS donation page on Amazon as well as holding a school-wide bake sale on Friday, November 9.
