Kudos to the third graders at Costano Elementary in East Palo Alto who helped rescue an injured seagull they found on campus!
These third graders who are participating in PAHS’ Critter Club at the school had just completed a session about rescuing animals when they found an injured seagull at the school. They immediately brought this discovery to the attention of their teacher, Ms. Egbert, and told her who to call—Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. The students and their teacher were on the scene when Animal Control arrived to transport the injured bird to the shelter’s wildlife center.
