Kudos to Our Canine Volunteers!

We love our canine animal ambassadors who helped us at “All About Dogs! And other pets too!” this past Sunday, August 12, at Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose.

SHANNON—Great Golden Retriever who helped her person Rhea show everyone how to care for a dog and sat patiently through a singalong. (far left)

RIN—Wonderful Mongolian Taiga-Lab mix who basked in the attention of young visitors. (upper right)

CODY—Gentle little Toy Australian Shepherd therapy dog—and ANI—sweet and loving Golden, who cuddled happily with their visitors. (middle right)

SEBASTIAN—Awesome Dachshund mix who greeted everyone who stopped to pet him. (bottom right)

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
