Ani Is Bilingual!
When Ani visited Lytton Gardens (https://www.jtm-esc.org/lytton-gardens/)in Palo Alto on Thursday, January 25 with her person Sarah, we watched Ani perk up when staff member Yaling spoke to her in Mandarin—Ani had been rescued 4 years earlier in Taiwan. Ani was very cooperative in showing residents at Lytton Gardens that she still remembered her commands in Mandarin. Ani is one of our favorite PAHS 2 PAWS canine volunteers, and she has provided cheer and comfort to people in all kinds of venues. Kudos to Ani!

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
