For bird lovers… Free Basic Bird Education Classes – General Information
Everyone interested in fostering or adopting a bird must attend our class on bird care prior to receiving a bird from us. This class is free (although donations are appreciated) and is open to the general bird-loving public.
The class covers these topics:
Proper avian care
Proper avian diet
Symptoms of illness and first aid
General husbandry
Taming and training
And much much more…

We have basic bird care classes scheduled throughout the Bay Area in the North Bay, San Francisco/Peninsula, South Bay, East Bay, and Sacramento Area. For those who cannot attend a class in person, we occasionally schedule phone classes.
Register: To reserve your spot for a class, email class@mickaboo.org with the location of the class, and class date, in the subject line. If you want to adopt a cockatiel (for example), please say so in the email.
