Let’s give Lila a good home!

PAHS can vouch for this wonderful girl! She’s been a favorite participant in our Kiddies 2 Kitties reading program at SVACA, encouraging the kids to read and asking them for hugs, pets, and play. Here’s what the shelter says about her:

Lila is a 12-year old tortie who is an absolute sweetheart. She’s been at the Animal Care Center since December 14th when she followed a young girl home from school. Our attempts to find her owner were futile.

She’s been available for adoption since before Christmas. She’s a good girl, doesn’t necessarily mind being housed with other cats and is such a trooper! Lila loves attention and her little purr motor hardly stops when you’re petting her. Our volunteers and staff adore her and we’d really like to see her get a more permanent home. We’ve promoted her quite a bit and so far no takers.

The Palo Alto Humane Society is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, charitable, volunteer-supported organization. PAHS is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter through humane programs in intervention, advocacy, and education. For a century, our mission has been to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society.
