AB485 banning the sale of animals from puppy mills in pet stores just passed! All animals shown in pet stores will now have to come from rescue groups and shelters.


California AB 485 just passed the Senate 32-0!! WOO HOO!!!!!

This means that California will be the first state in the USA to require that all dogs, cats and rabbits sold in stores statewide come from rescue organizations, not commercial breeding facilities (puppy mills). THIS IS A MONUMENTAL VICTORY!!!!

Be sure to notice “32-0” in the photo!!! We’re crying tears of joy right now!! THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard to make this bill pass!
