See the resultant creative expressions at our new community art installation, active now through June 18.

May 8 – National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day
According to AVMF, the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Citizen Corps has declared May 8, 2010, National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day. The declaration is meant to raise awareness about the importance of planning for pets' safety before disaster strikes. Today, our awareness is heightened due to several circumstances that our country has faced over the past few weeks. Parts of Tennessee have been so damaged by floods that these areas have been declared major disaster areas. The oil in the Gulf of Mexico is expected to come ashore in the Florida Panhandle in the next few days. We do not yet know the extent to which this has affected the animals.
