With a worldwide population of 6.7 billion people, a global marketplace, and mega-large agribusiness dominating sustainable business models, the necessity to inform about non-sustainability realities and the dramatic loss of humane practices is more needed than ever before. Getting back to basics is essential to realizing ethical and planetary balance.
To support businesses which are responding responsibly to these realities, PAHS has launched two types of annual certification: Humane Planet and GoVeg.
PAHS acknowledges the following Humane Planet Certified businesses, which:
- Currently offer exemplary vegetarian and vegan menu options.
- Do not offer veal or fois gras on their menus.
- Are open to expanding vegetarian and vegan menu choices.
- Use local and organic ingredients, which are naturally more humane, whenever possible.
- Use cage-free, free-range and “humane certified” ingredients whenever possible.
